FR4

FR4 is a flame-retardant, glass-reinforced epoxy laminate with excellent electrical insulation, mechanical strength, and moisture resistance. It is widely used in printed circuit boards and insulating structural components.

FR4 is a high-grade, flame-retardant epoxy laminate material reinforced with woven glass fiber cloth. It is one of the most widely used insulating materials in the electronics, electrical, and industrial sectors, thanks to its outstanding strength, dimensional stability, and insulation properties.

The “FR” stands for Flame Retardant, indicating its compliance with UL94 V-0 standards, ensuring it self-extinguishes when exposed to fire. Its combination of lightweight structure, high mechanical strength, low water absorption, and excellent dielectric properties makes FR4 the preferred choice for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and a wide variety of high-performance applications.

At GD Prototyping, we offer FR4 materials with consistent quality for electronic devices, electrical insulation, mechanical supports, and precision prototypes. With its heat resistance, electrical insulation, and machinability, FR4 remains a versatile and trusted engineering material across industries.
