Advantages of Die Casting

Rapid Tooling

Ideal for low-volume production. Aluminum inserts last up to 20,000 shots, with lead times as short as 1–2 weeks.

Production Tooling

Reliable molds for mass production, machined in 3–4 weeks, with lifespans up to 100,000 shots.

Multi-Cavity Molds

Multiple identical cavities boost output per cycle, improving efficiency and reducing unit cost.

Overmolding

Adds a second material layer over existing parts for enhanced function or design.

Die Casting General Tolerances

In the majority of die cast parts, general tolerances are normally governed by industry standards unless otherwise indicated in the design files. Real tolerances are subject to such factors as the geometry of parts, type of material, shape of the mold, and casting conditions.
